The Coordinating Council for Women in History is an organisation aimed at supporting women in the historical profession as well as research in women’s history. It is a place where graduate students and scholars can find support and a community to help them thrive. Members enjoy the opportunity to apply for prizes and awards (the next deadline is 15 May 2017), submit aritcles and book reviews and for the CCWH newsletter and also participate in conferences and meetings.
Furthermore, the CCWH offers a supportive intellectual community, which includes a mentorship program, a network of university and conference liaisons, and a host program to help defray the cost of conference and research travel.
People of all genders can easily join or a give a membership as a gift to somebody online, and questions can be directed to the email address firstname.lastname@example.org. More general information can be found on the organisation's website.
