2 Positions as Student Assistants (Tutors) (40 hrs/month) for 6 months

Tasks:

• Conducting the tutorial (in English) that accompanies the course Understanding North America B, focus on Economics
• Administration of the online platform Blackboard
• Course preparation: research and acquisition of literature
• Preliminary corrections of handed in essays and assignments (everything will be handed in in English, and might partly be handwritten)
• Preparation and coordination of the final exam through the E-Examination center

 

Applicants should fulfill the following:

• Students studying in MA North America Studies (with a BA in north American studies) orstudents who are at least in the 4^th semester of BA North American studies or students who have a BA in Economics
• The tutorial requires fundamental knowledge of economics and the ability to teach it in English
• Excellent English skills, both written and spoken (equivalent to C1), in order to conduct the tutorial
• Strong organization skills for the coordination of the tutorials with the tutors from the other departments and the communication between students and instructors
• The ability to work in a team
• Good research skills and good knowledge of the library
