Former JFKI fellow and instructor Dr Adam Hjorthén has been appointed to a tenured position as Senior Lecturer in North American Studies at Uppsala University, Sweden. Dr Hjorthén was a postdoc at the Department of History at the JFKI from 2017–20, where he taught two courses and advised various MA theses. At Uppsala, he will be working at the Swedish Institute for North American Studies (SINAS).
