Do you wonder about the future occasionally (or all the time), pondering what to do once you have your degree in NAS? Then fret not, my angst-ridden millennial friends, for the students have decided to take matters into their own hands!

Please take note of the now sixth installment of our student-run events series called JFKInterviews!

These interactive interviews will give you the opportunity to have a chat with people who have similar academic backgrounds as us and have found amazing jobs since their graduation! The format is deliberately interactive, so you don’t just join in on another boring and meandering WebEx session where nobody read the assigned texts, ahem.

For our first session this winter semester we are happy to welcome Julian St. Patrick Clayton!

He is currently the Deputy Director for Policy and Research at the Center for NYC Neighboorhoods and has over a decade of experience with policy analysis, design, research, and advocacy across multiple sectors and policy disciplines. In his work, he spearheaded engagement with elected officials, nonprofits, and community stakeholders around policy campaigns, legislative action, and social service program implementation. Over the course of his career, he has held positions at JPMorgan Chase, Catamaran Corp, as well as within the NYS Senate, NYS Assembly and NYC City Council.  Along the way, he earned international recognition as a recipient of the Robert Bosch Foundation and Atlantik Initiative fellowships.  Julian holds a BA and an MS in Urban and Regional Planning from Florida State University.

Sounds good? Sounds good. Well, then join us for Session #6 on Thursday, November 18., 6pm via WebEx:

More session are already in the works! We already preparing our next speakers for their talk - more on that soon - but we are still very much open for input! So, if you know a guy, who knows a gal, who has a relative with a NAS degree or something similar, who would like to share the secrets of how they turned that into a successful career, give us a holler! Either way, contact us on the JFK-I Discord Server under #events and talk to us about what you’d like to see!
