Anna Karla is a Junior Professor for European history of the 19^th and 20^th century at Freie Universität Berlin. She holds a PhD from Humboldt-Universität Berlin and EHESS Paris. Her research focuses on the history of revolution and warfare in contemporary European history as well as on theory of history. She is currently writing a book on material reconstruction and reparations after the First World War.
