The conference will be hosted at the John-F.-Kennedy-Institute at Freie Universität Berlin, Lansstraße 7-9, 14195 Berlin. The John F. Kennedy Institute is renowned for its innovative interdisciplinary research; it brings together scholars from six disciplines: culture, economics, history, literature, political science, and sociology. Founded in 1963 by the political scientist Ernst Fraenkel, the institute is dedicated to the study of the United States and Canada in all its facets. The disciplinary and national diversity of JFKI students and scholars creates a unique academic environment that highly values the continuous and open exchange of ideas.

The JFKI can be easily reached by public transportation. Bus lines X11 and X83 and the subway line U3 all stop at Dahlem Dorf, which is 250m away from the institute.

Frome Tegel Airport (TXL):

From the airport, take the Bus which is also called TXL and change at the Station Beusselstraße.From Beusselstraße, take the S-Bahn train, S41, to Heidelberger Platz. From Heidelberger Platz change in to the U-Bahn train, U3, towards Krumme Lanke and exit at the Dahlem Dorf station, from there it is a 2 minute walk. 

From Schönefeld Airport (SXF):

From the airport take the S-Bahn train, S45, to Heidelberger Platz From Heidelberger Platz change in to the U-Bahn train, U3, towards Krumme Lanke and exit at the Dahlem Dorf station, from there it is a 2 minute walk. 

From Hauptbahnhof (Berlin Central Station):

From the central station take one of the S-Bahn trains, S3, S5, S7, westward bound and change at the Westkreuz station. From Westkreuz, take the S-Bahn train, S41, to Heidelberger Platz. From Heidelberger Platz change in to the U-Bahn train, U3, towards Krumme Lanke and exit at the Dahlem Dorf station, from there it is a 2 minute walk.
