Dissertation: Blind Spots of Globalization, Neoliberalization Processes in North American Port Cities

Boris Vormann is currently a visiting professor of urban political economy and political science at Freie Universität Berlin’s John-F.-Kennedy Institute for North American Studies and a Research Associate at Harvard University’s Mahindra Humanities Center. His research foci include the relationship between urbanization and globalization; urban and state theory; and changes in state-market relations in infrastructure provision. Boris Vormann has recently published his monograph Global Port Cities in North America: Urbanization Processes and Global Production Networks (Routledge, 2015) and a co-edited handbook Handbuch Politik USA (Springer VS, 2015).
