Postdoctoral researcher Phoebe Ishak’s paper, “Oil Price Shocks, Protest, and the Shadow Economy: Is there a Mitigation Effect?,” was accepted for publication at the journal Economics & Politics. The forthcoming paper, co-authored with Mohammad Reza Farzanegan, studies “how oil price shocks affect the incidence of protests within countries and how the size of a country’s shadow economy influences this relationship,” as the abstract explains.
