2 Positions as Student Assistants (Tutors) (41 hrs/month) for 6 months

ID: UNA-B Tutorship Economics

 Application Deadline: December 26, 2022 (due to the holidays we will accept applications until January 10, 2023)

Start of employment: April 1, 2023

Tasks: 

Conducting the tutorial (in English) that accompanies the course Understanding North America B, focus on Economics 

Administration of the online platform Blackboard 

Course preparation: research and acquisition of literature 

Preliminary corrections of handed in essays and assignments (everything will be handed in in English, and might partly be handwritten) 

Preparation and coordination of the final exam through the E-Examination center 

 

Applicants should fulfill the following: 

The tutorial requires fundamental knowledge of economics and the ability to teach it in English

Excellent English skills, both written and spoken, in order to conduct the tutorial 

Strong organization skills for the coordination of the tutorials with the tutors from the other departments and the communication between students and instructors 

The ability to work in a team 

The ability to work independently 

Good research skills and good knowledge of the library 

Students studying in MA North America Studies (with a BA in North American Studies) or students studying BA North American Studies who have completed UNA, the orientation module in economics and the mandatory studies abroad

Students who have a BA in Economics
