The Graduate School grants up to threedoctoral grants per year. Scholarships are awarded by the selection committee on a competitive basis. Doctoral scholarships are awarded for a maximum of three years. Funding is granted on an annual basis upon successful evaluation of the progress report by the three thesis supervisors.
Doctoral scholarships amount to 1,200–1,350€/month; doctoral candidates with children may receive a child allowance of 400€/month for the first child and 100€/month for every additional child. In addition, travel grants are available.
In addition to the funded positions, the Graduate School offers up to seven doctoral memberships for students with funding obtained from external organizations, e.g. foundations. Admission to the program will be evaluated based on the student's application as well as compliance with further admission requirements.
