The Graduate School grants up to ten doctoral grants per year. Scholarships are awarded by the selection committee on a competitive basis. Doctoral scholarships are awarded for a maximum of three years. Funding is granted on an annual basis upon successful evaluation of the progress report by the three thesis supervisors.
Doctoral scholarships amount to 1,200–1,350€/month; doctoral candidates with children may receive a child allowance of 400€/month for the first child and 100€/month for every additional child. In addition, travel grants are available.
Students with funding obtained by external organizations, e.g. foundations, are encouraged to apply. Admission to the program will be evaluated based on the student's application as well as compliance with further admission requirements.
